Local Format Stations. Serving as a Christian music “farm system”, PWR will operate a series of stations based in select local markets throughout the country, with the first station launching in Arizona in early 2007. These stations will feature the music of emerging local area bands within a mix of familiar national favorites. The station web sites will act as a web portal to the local Christian music scene, with information about concerts, bands and other items of interest to local Christian listeners. Station programming will follow the cutting edge and incredibly listenable “Rock Hop” format, featuring a base mix of alternative, rock and punk, but with occasional hip-hop or R&B mixed in to provide “flavor”. National Format Station. Following on the heels of the local format stations, PWR will launch one national format station. This station is designed to appeal to a secular audience, and will feature a mix of the best “crossover” songs from both established national artists as well as emerging local and regional artists “discovered” through the local format station network “farm system”. This station will also feature the popular “Rock Hop” format, with a base of music from bands like Switchfoot, Relient K, Lifehouse, Hawk Nelson, Thousand Foot Krutch, P.O.D., The Fray, etc. On-Air and Web Site Promotional Opportunities.
